An evil cult leader died, and congress man Gary Ackerman had the effrontery to praise the man as being "humble" (see here). With cult awareness being so low, and so many cult apologists even in the congress, cults have an easy game. It's not much better over here in Europe.

By the way, that "humble" man even had a flashy mansion here in Heidelberg that I see every day on my way to work. His followers did not only have to pay for the house, but even had to literally carve the building ground into the rocks with pickaces and jackhammers. And they did this and much more for free for "guru" as he liked to called himself. Not even "the guru" but simply "guru" as in "God".

“Gonzo Guru” dead at 76 has more background info. Quote "there seemed to be no limit to his egomania."

How come that such people are called "humble" by followers? Why was the obvious narcissist Samuel Lee considered as being "humble" by UBF members?
