Moscow UBF schism now official

The official UBF 2007 world mission prayer topics have as point 4: "Moscow Ministry: 1) M. Stephen Kim, 2) Bowman Tech. College Pioneering (M. Gideon Kim)" This means nothing less that the division of Moscow UBF is now official. As usual, the infighting and split is concealed as "pioneering". I heared that UBF was operating at Baumann university (not Bowmann college, as usual they cannot even get the names right) for at least 5 years already anyway, not to speak of other Christians there. The whole thing is very similar to what happened in Cologne UBF 2 years ago.

"I think the REBUILD project is not going well. One must rebuild based on the truth of God. But Dr. Ben Toh and other UBF leaders are trying to rebuild based on Dr. Samuel Lee's stupid theology. There is always a split when something is built on man's legacy rather than on the truth of God."

Yes. In order for UBF to continue to rebuild upon Samuel Lee's legacy, they are going to have to continue to idolize him and justify his abusive actions.

As far as the second gen's desire "to preserve one to one Bible study, world mission, and discipling", how many ministries around the world have been and are doing that now without abusing and exploiting it's members as UBF does? In order for the next generation of UBF to preserve it's version of one to one, world mission and discipling, it is going to have to do so with a more "us against them mentality"

The striking thing here is that they speak about the possible future but completely miss to speak about the past and the failures of the past of which they should learn, which should not be repeated etc. And on other occasions whenever they speak about the past of UBF is is depicted as glorious only. So if it was that glorious, why need to talk about any changes in the future?

Also, the core problem is not whether they engage in "Bible study, world mission, and discipling", but how they understand these terms, and HOW they practice it.

Anyway, unless they do not make the first step to open their eyes for their sins, atrocities and failures in the past, and repent, there will be no meaningful change and nothing that could be pleasing to God. The first step is to become humble and show remorse. But they do the opposite (ho was that title? "unashamed"?)
