"The good fruit of NOT tithing"

From the same blog as before comes a post-abusive church essay on tithing: "The good fruit of NOT tithing".

I post this because of a recent incident in which I heard a UBF parent tell one of their children that God would protect their family from harm because they tithe 10% of their income. The logical conclusion is that when they stop giving 10% to God (to UBF), then God withdraws this "protection". Is this an unusual teaching in UBF in which offerings and tithing are driven by compulsion? No, we know it is not. This is a core teaching of many abusive, allegedly "Bible-based" groups and churches.
